Working towards the creation of a Prescribed Burn Association for McHenry County



We would like to thank those of you who were able to join us at the Woodstock Public Library, and also to those who joined us remotely on the live cast. For those who were unable to join us, the recorded meeting and slide presentation are now available. Please feel free to pass it on to others that you believe might have interest in this.


We would like to ask everyone to complete a quick survey of interest. It should only take a few minutes.


Lastly, we have two specific requests that we’d like to see if you can help us with.

  • One of the first things we will need to do is establish a name. We can go with the basic Prescribed Burn Association of McHenry County, but we’d at least like to explore some other name opportunities. If you have any suggestions, please email them to hugh.frisbie@gmail.com
  • Our second request is we are going to be working to get grant applications into a couple of organizations that were mentioned in the meeting. These have a quick turnaround of August 1. If there is anyone that has experience with grants that is willing to assist us, please contact hugh.frisbie@gmail.com.
